I like it, its fun.
Being under water and being able to free float and watch all the life, gives you the chance to be fully alone and put all your thoughts together. Very relaxing.
I do. It’s an amazing feeling– you feel weightless. With every breath, you go up and down. I love doing handstands and floating with my arms and feet spread out wide– it makes me feel so free and relaxed. Plus, there’s an entirely different and amazing world underwater that it unimaginable until seen while floating along with the current.
Imagine yourself away from the NOISE of civilization. The only noise you hear while under is the bubbles from your regulator, and the occasional attempt to talk through it as you make utterances of awe and wonder or try to get the attention of your dive buddy (ALWAYS dive with a buddy). You can hear the crunching of parrot fish as they nibble on coral, the popping of shrimp, and sometimes, if you’re in the right place, whale song. The sounds and the feelings of SCUBA diving are unmatched. It is quite addictive. I’ve been snorkeling in Bermuda, and diving in Hawaii, Okinawa, and Guam, and am getting ready to go diving in the Gulf shortly. Were it up to me, I’d spend every day diving. The worries of the world are lost when you’re under. It a feeling like no other.
I love being underwater and seeing things that few other people see. After all, two thirds of the world is water, so it’s a privilege and joy to be able to be in it!
