Scuba Diving and Swimsuits?

Hello,

I am planning on going scuba diving this summer and need to get a new bathing suit as well. Along with the gear that I will be wearing, a rash guard and such, what kind of bathing suit would you suggest wearing underneath?

A bikini, tankini, one piece?

What would be best?

Thank you!
also wear can I find a swimsuit like this

I don’t really care about how I LOOK I was just wondering what would be easier to wear, what would be more comfortable in the wet suit.

I don’t have to worry about my dive buddy, it is my husband and he just wants me to be comfortable and safe

    News flash:
You wear what is comfortable for you. That’s it. No high fashion. No one will care. If they do care…you don’t want them as a dive buddy.
That simple. It’s the same with the dive gear you may eventually decide to use as your own. What works for you. Not me or someone else.

    I read your update comment:

Nothing changes really…wear what you feel comfortable with. DON’T wear things that may require adjustments or alteration whilst on the dive. It’ll distract you. Think ahead I guess.
Myself..in a 7mm double I go either commando or swim shorts in a 50 F to 70 plus waters. In my dry suit, I could wear anything from a tux ( did that prior to a pals wedding) to a swim short and T in -2 C water in the arctic.
And..still an no for that swim suit. It’s that… a swim suit. I ‘m sorry, but I wouldn’t take you seriously as a diver in that. I’d probably give you a drink order. Frills?

I would go for a one piece swimming suit, but you should wear whatever feels comfortable. I’ve only ever used dry suits (blehh Scottish weather) So I’ve never been in a situation wear I need a wet suit.
But I think it would be most comfortable in a one piece or a tankini.

I usually wear a one-piece, it’s pretty comfortable for me. Did you get your rash guard yet? Cressi is a really great brand, it’s what I wear – there’s a really cute pink Cressi rash guard at http://www.primescuba.com/crsubragubi.html, it’s only $22.

It’s of course important to choose scuba diving clothing that is comfortable, but make sure you’re comfortable with the dive itself. Once you’re comfortable with that, you will be so excited that you won’t even notice what kind of bathing suit you’re wearing underneath. Scuba diving is like nothing else :)
