I really need to know what the name of this movie is!?
I have been looking for this FOREVER…
This movie was probably made in the 80s or 90s. This is what I remember: The beginning of this movie started out with a boy and his grandfather. They were going to go diving, and they used the metal diver suits. Before the other scuba gear was made. Anyway, the grandfather ended up getting unattached from the air, and he drowned. So then, the boy and his friends went off on this treasure hunt. While on this hunt, he ended up falling in love with a girl that he also brought along. Also, they went to visit a man and to ask about the treasure, but the man ended up chasing him back to his ship while yelling and waving a sword at him. He then invited a pirate aboard his ship. This pirate taught him how to sword fight, and then stole his map. Finally, at the end of the movie, they are at this lighthouse, and that weird guy that was previously chasing him with a sword comes back. He ends up falling off the lighthouse, to his death.
This would be classified in the treasure – hunting genre. Does anyone know the name of this movie?
Not sure, but could it be George’s Island? Came out late 80′s.
Can you add some information? Do you remember the names of the actors or even what they looked like? There was a movie during that time called “Pirate Movie” that starred Kristy McNichol. The male lead was Christopher Atkins. I never saw it so I don’t know if it has the scenes you mention. The link below may help you find your movie.
