Does anyone know what happened to the wreck of the Kuda Maru?

firstly; I watched a documentary on a crew of explorers trying to explore properly this japanese wreckage, the programme was called, “journeys to the bottom of the sea”.
second; the programme ended with the ship eventually finding nothing and went bankrupt but concluding that the captain of the crew had found private investors to continue the exploration (they where diving on the premise of finding certain amounts of gold).

sorry i dont know but I should think that the ship hasn’t been discovered yet or it would have been in the news.
I think you are thinking of I-52 a japanese sub that purportedly sank with a cargo of gold. The the expedition did go broke only finding aluminum ingots at the time. However, there is another expedition planned that will allow access further into the sub.
