caribbean destination for families?

My family is planning on taking a vacation this spring, and i’d really like to go to the caribbean or somewhere in mexico but my mom doesn’t really favor that idea. I’d like to go snorkeling and scuba diving and lay on the beach but that isn’t her idea of a good vacation. My mom, dad, and brother would like other activities, places to go, and things to do besides just swimming and laying on the beach…any suggestions on places to go ( in the caribbean or mexico) that would be fun for the whole family? i’m 18 and my brother is 16 so nothing specifically for little kids.

go on a caribbean cruise when on one they stop at ports your family can go do site seeing & see the attractions while you stay at the shore where the boat is and do what you want to do on your vacation u kill to birds with 1 stone you both win & they are not very expensive & they give you enough time in between ports for everyone to accomplish what they like & you get to see more that the caribbean you can tell ppl you swam & dove here ,here,& here

  2. Beaches Turks and Caicos is AMAZING. It is a super family friendly resort (and not just for little kids). I just came back from there. There is something to do for everyone, all ages. Plus, it’s an all inclusive resort so all of your food, drinks, entertainment, activities, snorkeling excursions, scuba dives, etc. are all included in the room price. So you can do as much as you want without taking out your wallet.

The beach there is gorgeous too, plus 5 giant pools, a spa, a huge water park, and more… so I doubt anyone will have a problem finding some place to have fun. :)

There are also a lot of land tours you can take on the island if your family decides to venture out and explore. Turks and Caicos is a beautiful island to see.

Also, there are 3 other Beaches resorts but those are in Jamaica. They are smaller but are still awesome resorts. I’ve been to all of them and will never take my family anywhere else!

By the way, I am a travel agent and Caribbean/Mexico destination specialist. If you need help finding a resort or planning your trip, let me know. My services are free so all you have to do is ask. :)

Playa del Carmen Mexico has everything you mentioned. You can take the ferry to Cozumel and snorkel on the Palancar Reef and travel around the island.

There are several eco water parks in the area (see links below) Xcaret even has a zip line.
You can visit the ancient mayan ruins of Tulum
Or you can just hang by the pool or on the beach. You will love it!
